After weeks of heat waves and cataclysmic storms, the street was distraught with chaos. Downed power lines, fallen tree branches, and a tidal wave of tumultuous debris left their yard looking more like a scene from Twister than a well-kept garden. But amidst the rubble and through the whipping winds of the hot storm, they heard the faint sounds of a kitten cry, drawing them in like a homing beacon. Alas, beneath the trash and the stormy debris, they found a lost kitten in desperate need of a helping paw.
